Universal BASIC tank ring with 5-hole mounting
This BASIC version with five mounting holes is intended for verified applications on Kawasaki and BMW motorcycles. It provides a mechanical mounting point for a Hepco & Becker tank bag.
Tank ring and retaining plate as a complete kit
The kit includes the BASIC tank ring and the matching counterpart for the underside of the tank bag. The retaining plate can be positioned and screwed to the tank bag according to the tank shape and steering lock. An additional BASIC retaining plate is not required for this kit.
Operation and specifications
- Audible click when fitting the tank bag
- Release via the front securing strap on the tank bag
- Fuel cap remains accessible with the ring installed
- Recommended load: approx. 3 kg
- Recommended maximum speed: 130 km/h
The motorcycle manufacturer’s specifications and product-specific instructions must be observed. Neither ABE approval nor registration is required when installed as intended. Suitability for the specific Kawasaki or BMW model must be checked in advance using the manufacturer’s checklist.
Do not combine BASIC and Lock-it
This system uses a purely mechanical locking mechanism. The BASIC tank ring and BASIC retaining plate must be used together; retaining plates from the Lock-it system are not compatible.
