AXP underrun protection for the KTM 890 Adventure

The AXP underrun protection protects the lower vehicle area and the sides of the fuel tank on the KTM 890 Adventure. The version made of 8 mm thick PE-HD is orange and weighs 4.1 kg.

Protection and construction

The skid plate covers the fuel pump and extends protection on both sides of the fuel tank. A foam pad inserted between them reduces friction and helps prevent paint chips. The revised shape takes the front fender into account and positions the fender in front of the plate to prevent it from melting.

The design has also been adapted to make installation of the KTM fuel pump easier. A small hole on the right allows a hose to be passed through. Inside, 4 mm thick alloy parts reinforce the plate.
