MALOSSI Fly System for Yamaha X-MAX 400 R ABS

The MALOSSI Fly System combines a reinforced centrifugal clutch with a steel clutch bell. Both components are coordinated with one another and are offered as a common system for scooter sports. The ø 160 version supports a resilient coupling solution for demanding operating conditions.

Function and design

The Fly Clutch is designed as a reinforced centrifugal clutch. Their design is aimed at high thermal and mechanical stress, which can arise, for example, from frequent stop-and-go, long traffic light phases, steep roads, additional stress from a passenger or hot weather.

• Bell forged from Fe DC04 deep-drawing steel
• Carbon steel center section made of round material, TIG welded
• Anti-vibration band welded with a 3-point 120° pattern
• 100% dynamically balanced
• Surface hardened by nitriding
