Control and ergonomics for the Yamaha FZ-09

Developed by Evotech Performance, the set combines a full-length folding clutch lever with a short, non-folding two-finger brake lever. Deeply rounded edges along the levers ensure an anatomically coordinated shape and a pleasant operating feel.

Folding mechanism and short brake lever shape

The clutch lever can deflect upwards when it comes into contact with a solid object to reduce the risk of breakage. A tensioned spring and bearing keep it securely in position while driving; it is then reset manually.

The short brake lever positions its ball end closer to the vehicle and therefore further away from the end of the handlebars. In addition, it has a defined breaking point at the end of the ball.

Individually adjustable

• Six positions to adjust the grip width to different finger lengths
• Anodized red adjusters on clutch and brake levers
• Milled markings to indicate selected position
• Typical adjustment range of 17 mm ± 1 mm, measured at the center of the lever

Machined aluminum construction

Lever blades and holder holders are made from solid aluminum material. Millings on the backs reduce the weight without sacrificing the intended strength. CNC-manufactured bolts, locking clips and other fasteners provided are made of stainless steel.

Assembly

The CNC-milled holder holders are designed to precisely accept the standard components. Both levers are then adjusted to the desired grip width using their six-fold adjusters.
