The MALOSSI cylinder kit with 68.5 mm diameter is designed for the Vespa PX E Arcobaleno 200 in the 1981-1997 model year range. The version with CVF2 and Ø 16 bolts combines an aluminum cylinder concept with piston compression aimed at racing use.

Design and technical details

The cylinder features redesigned reinforcement ribs that combine a lightweight design with greater strength. The completely changed design of the main, rear and exhaust ports supports the current version of this 68.5mm cylinder concept. A hemispherical combustion chamber with a central spark plug is part of the further development described.

The connection to the silencer is made via a flange connection set with four head screws on the cylinder and an O-ring seal on the exhaust. The system is designed for exhaust systems with an inlet diameter of 44.5 mm and counteracts loosening or twisting caused by vehicle vibrations.

Vehicle assignment and use

The cylinder kit is assigned to the Vespa PX E Arcobaleno 200, built between 1981 and 1997. The design is intended for use in competitions at designated venues in accordance with the regulations of the relevant sports associations. Completely original or slightly modified crankcases as well as an original carburettor or a 30 mm diameter carburettor are described for the configuration.
