MALOSSI H20 I-Tech cylinder set with Ø 63 mm

The H20 I-Tech cylinder set is designed for the Vespa GTS 125 I-GET Super Notte from 2020. With a cylinder bore of Ø 63 mm, 58.7 mm stroke and 183 cm³ displacement, it offers a clearly defined technical configuration for competition use.

Cylinder and machining

• Cylinder bore: Ø 63 mm

• Compression ratio: 11.48
• Cylinder-piston clearance: 0.05 mm

The cylinder is made of a primary aluminum alloy with a high content of hardened and tempered silicon. Its liner has a silicon carbide coating in an electroplated nickel die. Cross smoothing is done in two diamond passes with very limited tolerances. Machining is carried out on machine tools with high-precision numerical control. Newly calculated heat exchange surfaces support the thermal design of the cylinder.

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact, lightweight and reinforced piston features three rings. It is made from a special aluminum alloy with a high silicon content and low thermal expansion. There is a tin coating on the sliding surfaces. The piston is also machined on numerically controlled machine tools and has improved heat exchange surfaces.

• First ring: compression ring made of nitrided and chrome-plated steel
• Second ring: special cast iron
• Wiper ring: three-piece design made of special chrome-plated steel alloy

The special rings are designed for good sliding properties and very high mechanical resistance.
