POLINI racing clutch with Z22 sprocket for Vespa Cosa 150

The POLINI racing clutch with a Z22 ring gear and a straight-toothed pinion is a technically designed clutch solution for the Vespa Cosa 150. Its reverse function shifts the connection to the crankshaft from the outer bell to the inner hub. This makes the structure different from conventional coupling designs.

Function and structure

  • Pressure plate on axial bearing for axially mounted actuation
  • Aluminum bell as part of the clutch construction
  • Block cover with oil collecting groove
  • Reinforced aluminum discs with 8 teeth
  • Adjustable spring force to adjust the clutch

The clutch allows the toothing of the primary gear to be selected in order to adapt the ratio to the respective structure. This version uses a toothed ring with Z=22 and straight teeth. If selected, the primary gear can be replaced, allowing the clutch configuration to be changed in a targeted manner.

Switching behavior

The construction is designed for precise and smooth switching operations. The adjustable spring force offers an additional opportunity to adapt the clutch to the desired application.

Vehicle assignment

  • Vespa Cosa 150
  • Years of construction 1988–1997

The design combines straight teeth with a Z22 ring gear and is aimed at drivers who want to adapt their clutch configuration via the primary toothing.
