The MALOSSI aluminum cylinder ø 63 pin ø 14 4-stroke is intended for the Piaggio Liberty 150 IE iGet 3 V S E 4 from the 2019-2020 model year range. The version is intended as a racing component for use in competitions at designated venues.

The cylinder is made of a primary aluminum alloy with a high proportion of hardened and tempered silicon. The cylinder liner has a silicon carbide coating in electroplated nickel form and crossed smoothing with two diamond passes. Machining is carried out on numerically controlled machine tools. Cylinder and piston are matched to each other with a tolerance of 0.05 mm.

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact 3-ring piston is made of a special aluminum alloy with high silicon content and low thermal expansion. Its sliding surfaces have a tin coating. The construction is weight-reduced and reinforced; Optimized heat exchange surfaces support the thermal design. The ring set includes a nitrided and chrome-plated I-ring, a special cast ring and a three-part wiper ring made of special chrome-plated steel alloy.
