The MALOSSI aluminum cylinder ø 63 with piston pin ø 14 is a 4-stroke cylinder for the Piaggio Liberty 125 IE Iget 3 V S ABS E 4 (MA 41) in the 2015-2018 model year range. The version is intended for competition use at designated venues.

The cylinder liner has a silicon carbide coating in electroplated nickel form. A crossed smoothing with two diamond passes and very limited tolerances supports precise execution. The cylinder-piston connection is manufactured with a tolerance of 0.05 mm. Revised heat exchange surfaces are taken into account for the cylinder and piston.

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact 3-ring piston is made of a special aluminum alloy with high silicon content, low thermal expansion and tin coating on the sliding surfaces. It is weight-reduced and reinforced. The special rings combine high sliding properties with very high mechanical strength. The ring set includes an I-ring made of nitrided and chrome-plated steel, a special cast ring and a three-part wiper ring made of special chrome-plated steel alloy.
