This pair of tank covers for the BMW R1200 GS R model years 2004 to 2012 combines lightweight construction with a distinctive vintage appearance. Depending on the selected version, the covers are supplied in Alpine White with graphics and a clear protective finish or unpainted.

Design and Construction

• Made from special resin with carbon fiber reinforcements

Functional Details

• The right side panel can be quickly removed for air filter maintenance.
• The rear mounting bracket has a slot for attaching a tank bag.
• The motorcycle's original front section is retained.
• The covers are compatible with the original front beak.

Scope of Delivery

Supplied as a pair of tank covers, complete with pre-drilled holes, screws, rubber buffers, rear mounting bracket and machined bushings for the front mounting points.

Installation Notes

• The motorcycle's three original upper M5 clips are used to connect the two covers.
• The supplied M5 x 12 mm button-head screws are inserted into these clips.
• The original pointed M5 screws must not be used, as they may damage the tank covers.
• The original R1200-GS logo for the tank sides is available separately through the official spare parts distribution network.

Compatibility

For BMW R1200 GS R models from model years 2004 to 2012. Not compatible with the original GS seat.
