Aluminum cylinder kit Ø 63 for the LML Star 150

The aluminum cylinder kit Ø 63 is designed for a resilient combination of mechanical strength, controlled heat exchange and flow-efficient design. The vehicle assignment applies to the LML Star 150 Limited Edition Bicolore, built between 2013 and 2017.

Function and construction

The cylinder is made of a high-strength aluminum alloy and has a cylinder liner with a nickel-chrome coating. A uniform wall thickness around the liner and openings supports controlled heat exchange. Aerodynamically shaped cooling fins promote the flow of cooling air.

The revised CVF design has 7 connections. This means that the gas flow in the cylinder is guided in a targeted manner. The precise centering between cylinder and head takes place via machined support surfaces. A gasket set with different thicknesses allows the compression to be adapted to different purposes.

Piston and cylinder head

The piston uses a steel core with aluminum and silicon alloy coating. This concept combines low piston weight with corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Reinforcing ribs in the inner area of ​​the piston skirt support the areas subject to greater mechanical stress.

The cylinder head has optimized cooling fins and a hemispherical combustion chamber. This is manufactured with tolerances in the tenth of a millimeter range. The construction is designed for controlled heat dissipation and highly turbulent combustion.
