TECNIUM air filter for the KTM 400 EXC Factory Edition

The TECNIUM air filter protects important engine components such as pistons, cylinders and valves from dust, sand and dirt. Its multi-layer foam design combines the retention of foreign bodies with high air permeability and is therefore tailored to use in motorcycles.

Function and structure

• A top layer of open-cell foam holds back larger dirt particles.
• A second layer of denser foam filters the finest dust particles and allows air to continue to flow to the engine.
• Fireproof foam is effective against backfire and is intended for 4-stroke racing engines.
• The flexible seal creates a suitable contact surface with the air filter housing.

The coordinated filter structure keeps foreign bodies away from the engine during racing. At the same time, the construction supports a continuous supply of air. The flexible seal makes it easier to adapt to the contact surface of the air filter housing.
