AXP underrun protection for the KAWASAKI KX 450

The AXP underrun protection protects the sensitive areas on the underside of the KAWASAKI KX 450. Its coverage extends over the engine, the housings, the linkage, the water pump and the lower frame up to the footrests. This helps protect these components when driving off-road.

Function and construction

Made of PE-HD with a thickness of 8mm, the underrun protection combines resilient protection with a weight of 1.4kg. Compared to aluminum panels, it is 30-40% lighter. The material reduces vibrations, does not absorb shock and retains its original shape. This means that the underrun protection remains dimensionally stable and at the same time makes maintenance on the motorcycle easier.
