AXP Enduro Xtrem underrun protection for the Husqvarna TE 300 Special Edition

The AXP Enduro Xtrem underrun protection protects the engine area in demanding enduro use. The version is made of 8 mm thick high density polyethylene (HDPE) and extends from the frame to the underside of the footrests. As a result, the construction completely covers the central subfloor.

Function and protection area

The design was developed for comprehensive coverage of the engine area. The underrun protection is extended up to the shock absorber deflection and includes this area in the protection. Below the deflection, a double thickness of material provides additional reinforcement. The associated reinforcement part is included.

Testing under harsh conditions

The underrun protection was tested and approved by Wade Young of the Sherco Factory Team after a year of testing under “Hard/Extreme” conditions. The design is therefore based on practical testing in tough and extreme enduro use.

The 8 mm HDPE construction, the extended shape and the reinforced zone under the deflection combine protection of the engine area with targeted coverage of particularly exposed underbody areas.
