Comprehensive Paris-Dakar conversion for the BMW R nineT Scrambler

The PARIS DAKAR GR86 kit combines a ready-to-install painted tank and body conversion with a seat, protective components, luggage solutions, handlebar parts and a high exhaust system. The shorter tank changes the seating position relative to the handlebars and enables weight distribution to be further forward.

Tank, seat and side panels

• Nylon tank with 22.5 liter capacity
• Painted version in white, bright white of the Urban GS or red
• Graphics under the transparent top layer
• The original tank cap, fuel pump and activated carbon filter are still used
• The reserve warning light remains functional
• All tank mounts are included
• The tank conversion is completely reversible
• Based on an average consumption of 17.7 km/l, this results in a calculated range of around 400 km

The comfortable bench is delivered complete and is divided into two parts. The rear passenger section can be quickly removed using the included key to increase luggage space when traveling solo. The seat height is 850 mm and therefore corresponds to the original Urban GS.

The molded ABS side panels feature a white and red finish with graphics underneath the transparent top layer. Mounting brackets, screws and vibration dampers are included.

Front conversion and protective components

• Windshield and high front fender made of painted ABS
• Raised headlight bracket for the front design in the style of the R80 GS PD
• Assembly without modifications to the motorcycle
• Windshield set in red, alpine white, Urban GS bright white or matt black
• Highly designed fairing with aerodynamic protection
• Headlight protection grille in gray, can be installed and removed without changing the original parts
• Steel crash bar with durable powder coating, spacer bushes and screws
• Most maintenance work can be done without removing the crash bar

NB: The headlight protection grill is not approved for road use.

Rear, luggage and passenger equipment

• Matt black powder-coated steel passenger handle
• Passenger handle can also be used to attach bags or luggage straps
• Compatible with Unit Garage and original BMW saddlebag frames
• Handcrafted back bag made of full grain Italian leather, stitched with nylon thread
• Leather bag dimensions: 200 × 280 mm, height 150 mm
• ABS rear fender with modular license plate and indicator holder
• Aluminum license plate holder with integrated LED light
• Plug and play wiring with connectors, no soldering or modifications to the original wiring harness
• The rear fender can also be mounted with the original seat and with or without a passenger frame
• Matt black powder-coated aluminum luggage rack plate
• The luggage rack plate expands the loading area when the pillion seat is removed
• Mounting screws and non-slip rubber pads for the luggage rack plate are included

Handlebars and ergonomics

• Old-school steel handlebar with crossbar and constant diameter of 22 mm
• Matte black epoxy powder finish
• Same height as the original handlebars, but designed for a more relaxed riding position
• Compatible with heated grips
• Mounting hardware included for the original risers and controls
• Pair of CNC-machined handlebar ends in glossy black with Unit Garage logo
• Two M12 mounting screws for the handlebar ends included
• Black leather handlebar pad for the crossbar, 26 cm long and 6 cm in diameter

High exhaust system

The tall 1:2:1 silencer combines stainless steel fittings with a fully hand-crafted Moto GP style titanium rear silencer. It weighs about 2.8 kg less than the original system and has a removable DB killer.

• Mounts on the original anti-vibration bracket with the passenger frame installed
• If the passenger frame is removed, a separate original BMW holder is required
