WRS Touring Windscreen for the BMW R 1200 RT

The Touring Windscreen is designed to provide a high level of wind protection on long journeys and during cooler seasons. On the 2014-2018 BMW R 1200 RT, it stands 4 cm taller than the original and features a wider profile above the deflectors.

More coverage for extended tours

The 4 cm taller design and additional width above the deflectors increase the wind-protected area. This is particularly beneficial on long journeys, in cold temperatures and for taller riders. The carefully tuned profile directs airflow towards the deflectors and reduces wind around the helmet and shoulders.

Material and colour options

The windscreen is made from high-quality PMMA plexiglass, is 5 mm thick and bears the DOT626 marking. It is available in two visually distinct versions:

• BM078F: Tinted
• BM078T: Clear

Installation note

All screws must be tightened to 3 Nm unless a different specification is stated for the relevant mounting point.
