“Obiettivo Dakar” is dedicated to the Paris-Dakar and in particular the early events in Africa. The book traces the streets of the race created by Thierry Sabine through the experiences of eight protagonists who directly experienced its challenges and its special fascination.

Content

The focus is on the stories, adventures and defining images of the legendary Dakar motorcycles with their colors, sponsors and graphics. One of the protagonists featured in the book is Fabio Marcaccini from Unit Garage. His stories and work help keep the myth of the race alive. Experiences from the Dakar and later rallies also form the origin of some of Unit Garage's ideas.
