The MALOSSI crankshaft is designed for the Vespa PK XL Plurimatic 125 built between 1985 and 1990 and combines a robust design with the dimensions for this area of application. The version is intended for an intake system with a reed valve and thus supports engines that have been converted accordingly.

Function and execution

As a central component of the crank mechanism, the crankshaft controls the movements of the connecting rod and piston. In the full collar version, the specially designed rear of the drive side facilitates the intake of fresh gases into the lower housing. Tungsten inserts ensure that the shaft runs smoothly.

The connecting rod with a “viper head” is designed to withstand high loads. A finer thread on the axle on the drive side increases resistance. A revised key position and particularly robust nuts complement the design.

Vehicle assignment and installation instructions

Suitable for Vespa PK XL Plurimatic 125, built between 1985 and 1990. For installation, the crankshaft seat on the ignition side of the engine housing must be drilled to Ø 87. The crankshaft is intended exclusively for competitions in the designated places in accordance with the regulations of the relevant sports authorities. Improper use is excluded.
