Malossi H20 I-Tech cylinder set with Ø 63 mm

The H20 I-Tech cylinder set from Malossi is designed for the Vespa GTS Super 125 Tech of the 2023 model year. With a bore of Ø 63 mm, 58.7 mm stroke and 183 cm³ displacement, it offers clearly defined technical key data for intended competitive use. The compression ratio is 11.48.

Cylinder and machining

  • Primary aluminum alloy with high content of hardened and tempered silicon
  • Cylinder liner with silicon carbide coating in a galvanic nickel die
  • Cross smoothing with two diamond passes and very limited tolerances
  • Machining on machine tools with high-precision numerical control
  • Cylinder-piston clearance: 0.05 mm
  • Recalculated and improved heat exchange surfaces

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact, lightweight and reinforced piston has three rings. It consists of a special aluminum alloy with a high silicon content and low thermal expansion. The sliding surfaces are tin-coated. The piston is also machined on numerically controlled machine tools and has improved heat exchange surfaces.

  • First ring: compression ring made of nitrided and chrome-plated steel
  • Second ring: special cast iron
  • Oil scraper ring: three-piece design made of special chrome-plated steel alloy
  • Special rings with good sliding behavior and very high mechanical resistance
