The rear Öhlins BlackLine shock absorber combines the series' characteristic, timeless design with extensive adjustment options. It is manufactured and tuned according to exclusive specifications.

Assembly according to model and emissions standard

• R nineT from 2014 to 2016 with EURO 3: Installation possible without making any changes to the motorcycle.
• R nineT from 2017 with EURO 4 as well as all Racer and Pure models: Installation only possible after removing the activated carbon filter on the left side of the shock absorber.
• R nineT from 2021 with EURO 5: Installation possible without making any changes to the motorcycle.

For the BMW R nineT Racer built between 2017 and 2020, the activated carbon filter must be removed.

Exhaust Compatibility Notes

• Not compatible with the Akrapovic Single HIGH exhaust.
• Another high exhaust version mentioned by the manufacturer is only compatible with the Öhlins version provided after removing the pillion frame.
