Vespa PK 125 [1982-1991] - crankshaft with pin ø 15, rod 105, stroke 51 mm and cone ø 20 for engines with reed valve
Description
MALOSSI crankshaft for Vespa PK 125 with diaphragm valve inlet
The MALOSSI crankshaft is designed for Vespa engines converted for a reed valve intake system instead of the original rotary valve. Their design supports the power transmission between the connecting rod and piston and is tailored to the special requirements of this engine configuration.
Function and design features
- Solid crankshaft for engines with diaphragm valve inlet
- Reinforced aviation grade steel, vacuum cast
- Pin ø 15, connecting rod 105 and stroke 51 mm
- Cone ø 20
- Tungsten inserts for a balanced design of the crankshaft
- Specially shaped bevel on the gearbox side to support fresh gas absorption under the oil pan
Technical data
The crankshaft has a circular mass structure. The shape of the connecting rod combines reduced weight with the required rigidity. Revised areas on the thread and key position ensure a resilient design of the shaft.
Vehicle assignment
Suitable for the Vespa PK 125 from the 1982-1991 model year range. The vehicle assignment refers to engines with a diaphragm valve inlet or to correspondingly converted engine housings.
Important assembly information
For use on the Vespa PK 125 2T, a spacer is required, which is available separately. The crankshaft seat on the ignition side of the engine housing must be drilled to Ø 87. The product is intended exclusively for racing at designated locations in accordance with the regulations of the relevant sports authorities.
