The New Generation Sport windshield combines compact proportions with targeted wind protection and clear, sporty lines. Its shape is based on the slim contours of the fuel tank. A precisely designed recess at the front takes up the design of the instrument cover and blends the windshield harmoniously into the front section.

Sporty design and tested aerodynamics

PUIG developed the windshield with the aim of improving aerodynamic protection without masking the distinctive character of the R 1250 R. The compact shape maintains the aggressive front design and at the same time offers effective coverage against the wind.

Aerodynamic studies have shown a 47% reduction in wind pressure on the rider compared to a configuration without a windshield. This can reduce the load caused by the wind, especially at higher speeds and over longer distances.

The acrylic used combines strength and low weight with high transparency. This means that, despite its compact design, the windshield remains designed to meet the requirements of everyday motorcycle use.

Four versions to choose from

The New Generation Sport Windshield is available in clear, tinted, heavily tinted and black versions. This means the look can be tailored to the individual style of the BMW R 1250 R.
